Before you sign that ERP contract, ask yourself:
✅ ERP-Fit – Does this ERP actually handles all your hardcore business processes or is it just a generic system dressed up with buzzwords? Accounts software and CRM can never become an ERP, even after mindless amount of customisation.
✅ ERP- Partners – Are we working with a vendor/consultant who understands manufacturing, not just IT?
✅ Leadership – Is top management ready to stay involved, enforce changes, and own the transformation?
✅ People – Have we planned for serious training and change management, or are we assuming people will “figure it out”?
✅ Budget – Do we know the real cost (data migration, downtime, integrations, support), not just the license fee?
✅ Data – Is our Supplier, Customer, Item, BOM, and production, opening balances data clean and reliable—or will the ERP be running on garbage from day one?
✅ Scope – Are we rolling this out step by step, or are we trying to do everything at once (and setting ourselves up for failure)?
👉 If you can’t check all the 7 out of 7 boxes with confidence, shows either you’re not ready for an ERP (or) they are not the right ERP vendors for you.
